Tags :

According to legal papers submitted in a court case between the company and Interplay – Bethesda lawsuit, Bethesda has been working on a "WOW GOLD type MMO" for several years.  It is still unknown about the game's identity, but strongly rumoured to be an Elder Scrolls MMO. It could be near enough to its release to be revealed soon. The Elder Scrolls, a highly popular, long-running RPG series set in the medieval world of Nirn, on the continent of Tamriel, was last seen in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, the fourth game in the series. Oblivion has highly praised by critics for its huge, beautiful world, numerous storylines and quests to follow and highly-customizable protagonist. The Elder Scrolls II:

Daggerfall, which was released in1996, is notable for featuring the largest explorable world in gaming history, at 62,394 square miles (161,600 square kilometers).Bethesda has tens and tens of millions of dollars and close to a hundred people working on the secret World Of Warcraft type MMO. They've been working on it pretty heavily since 2007 after assigning the team in late 2006. According to testimony given by Bethesda, the development timetable for an MMO is 4 years, so that would mean they would be releasing this game next year."Bethesda's parent company, hired Mythic Entertainment co-founder Matt Firor to lead development of an MMO in 2007. His experience on Dark Ages of Camelot, a traditional fantasy game, closely fits the Elder Scrolls bill. VG247 has been "reliably" informed of this, apparently, and been told the reveal was supposed to happen last year.
